The Gift, A Musical Drama, the Christmas Production at Harvest Church is a free community event that has been a favorite for years. Our outdoor adaptation of The Gift has been on hiatus since 2017 so we could rebuild a brand new stage set and we're excited to bring it back outdoors in 2025.
Get excited for "The Gift", an incredible outdoor Christmas production that features the story of Jesus' birth brought to life through songs and compelling drama performances. With over 100 talented actors, singers and dancers, this show features pyrotechnics and live animals to create an unforgettable experience. Enjoy this free show at our newly built outdoor theater, featuring a stunning 200-foot stage set and seating for over 1,000 people. WHAT IS THE GIFT?
The Gift is a free outdoor musical drama presented by Harvest Church — our Christmas gift to the community! This inspiring and family-friendly production combines powerful music, drama, and special effects to share the story of the birth of Jesus.
WHEN AND WHERE IS THIS EVENT?
There are five performances over three nights at Harvest Church, located at 340 Carverton Road in Trucksville, PA. The outdoor theater is located on the top of the hill of our campus.
IS ADMISSION FREE?
Yes! Admission is completely free and no tickets are required — it’s our way of sharing the hope and joy of Christmas with our community. If you'd like to help support this event, donation barrels will be placed around the campus. There's absolutely no obligation to give, but any contribution is deeply appreciated and goes directly toward covering the cost of this production. For those who prefer to give digitally, you can also donate online through the "Giving" page on our website, or text "GIVE" followed by the dollar amount of your donation and the words "THE GIFT" to 1 (888) 703-3485.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We recommend dressing warmly and bringing blankets to stay cozy during the performance. The show takes place outdoors in the winter weather of Northeast Pennsylvania, so bundle up!
WHERE DO I PARK?
Parking attendants will help guide you when you arrive. Please note that if you park in the lower levels, the walkway is uphill leading to the theater. Handicapped parking is available at the top of the hill for those who need easier access.
IS SEATING PROVIDED?
Yes! We offer bleacher seating, as well as removable chairs in the handicapped section. All seating is first-come, first-served, so we recommend arriving early to find your spot.
ARE THERE ANY ACCESSIBILITY ACCOMMODATIONS?
Handicapped parking is available at the top of the hill, and the handicapped seating area includes removable chairs for comfort and accessibility.
HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?
The performance runs approximately one hour.
IS THIS EVENT FAMILY-FRIENDLY?
Absolutely! The Gift is designed for all ages. We do use pyrotechnics and some loud effects, so please take that into consideration if anyone in your group is sensitive to sound or light.
CAN I MEET THE CAST?
Yes! After the show, the cast would love to meet you, take photos, and celebrate together.
WILL THERE BE FOOD OR DRINKS AVAILABLE?
Yes! Hot chocolate will be available for purchase as you enter the theater. After the performance, join us under the tent as you leave for free cookies and hot chocolate — our way of saying thank you for celebrating with us!
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?
The Gift will continue as planned in light snow, which only adds to the Christmas atmosphere! However, if there is heavy snowfall or rain, the performance may be cancelled for safety reasons. If weather conditions look uncertain, please check our website or Facebook page before you come for the latest updates or cancellation notices.
